Former Detroit Lions player on 'The Bachelorette.' Did he get a rose on the premiere?

A former Detroit Lions player is trying to win the heart of Becca on "The Bachelorette."

Clay Harbor was one of 28 bachelors who met Becca for the first time in the season 14 premiere of the reality dating show which airs every Monday at 8pm on ABC.

Harbor, who is a tight end, played part of one season for the Lions in 2016. In 12 games for Detroit he caught three balls for 19 yards and no touchdowns. Harbor, 30, is currently rehabbing an injury and hoping to get on a team for 2018.

"The reason I'm here is for Becca. She seems like such an amazing person," Harbor said in his introduction on the show. "She's beautiful, but she's got a lot going for her other than her looks and that's very sexy in a way. I can definitely see Becca as a woman I can be engaged to."

Clay seemed to make a good impression on Becca. "Hi. You look amazing." Becca said thank you and asked him to give her a hug. "I'm Clay and I play football. I've caught a lot of passes in my day. But if I were to land you, you'd by far be the biggest catch of my life. I'll catch you inside." Becca seemed to enjoy that cheesy introduction. "Oh, you're so sweet."

Later on Clay had some one-on-one time for the two to get to know each other. To help her remember him, Clay had them play with actual clay as an ice-breaker. He wanted her to easily remember him among all the other guys. "I played football. It's fun, but it's not something that defines me," Clay told Becca who said she's just really happy that he's here.

Did Clay get a rose? So was his cheesy introduction and the little time he spent with Becca enough to get Clay a rose on the first episode? When Becca called Clay down during the rose ceremony, she simply said "Clay, will you accept this rose?" His reply was even more simple. "Of Course."

So there you have it Lions fans. Clay Harbor has almost spent as much time on "The Bachelorette" as he spent with Detroit. We will continue to follow his adventures on the show and see how far he gets.
